China Establishes First Fast-Charging Association: A Standard Will Be Established

Terminal Industry Association was established in China to set a standard in fast charging technology and to prevent waste of electricity.

Today, fast charging has become a must-have feature for most mobile phones and smart electronic devices. Many manufacturers , especially China-based companies such as Xiaomi and Huawei, benefit from fast charging technology. However, a standard product that uses the same power and same technology is not always used in electronic devices. In order to prevent this problem, the first fast charging union was established in China.

Standard productions will be made

hızlı şarj A few months ago, it was on the agenda that China would limit its extremely high wireless fast charging technology to 50W. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies had cited that these technologies could block radio waves and cause problems in industries such as aviation and shipping as the reason for the decision. With this restriction, which will apply from January 1, 2022, any wireless charger manufactured, sold or used in China will not exceed 50 W. In addition to this restriction imposed by China on wireless chargers, we hear that technology companies are working to increase their fast charging power . However, almost every brand has different standards. In order to prevent this problem in China, studies were initiated by the Information and Communication Institute in the first months of 2021. . A few days ago Guangdong Terminal Industry Association was established Guangdong Terminal Fast Charge Industry Association will coordinate and integrate industrial resources to promote standardization in fast charging technology . The establishment of the terminal fast charging association aims to accelerate the standardization of fast charging technology, as well as to reduce electronic waste and energy waste . Although there is no information about whether the association will create a unified standard for now, the establishment of the association shows that China’s fast charging and data lines will merge. After this merger, it is estimated that all brands that produce chargers will work with each other. According to the data obtained so far, Chinese mobile phone manufacturers Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor have become members of the Terminal Industry Association.
