Comoros hold their breath: Ahamada negative… but forbidden to play?

Comoros goalkeeper Ali Ahamada is negative for Covid but is “not eligible” to play in the round of 16 against Cameroon on Monday at the CAN, according to the chief doctor of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). “ The Comorian player’s first positive test dates back two days. He could have been eligible if this first PCR test dated back five days or more“, wrote doctor Sidiki Boubakary to the doctor of the Comorian Federation in a letter that AFP obtained. “Therefore,Ali Ahamada is not eligible to participate in the match of January 24” against Cameroon.
