To the legendary visionary, friend of all musicians and the philharmonic audience, the orchestra dedicates not only the concert now, but also every next one that will play both on Kolarac and in the future hall of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, for which Tasovac lived.
Works by Shostakovich are played at the concert, and at the beginning of Tasi’s performance, a waltz by the same composer is especially dedicated. Ana Brnabić also appeared with her partner Milica.

Ivan Tasovac was the director of the Belgrade Philharmonic from March 2001 to September 2013. During that time, the Philharmonic became “one of the leading European orchestras” (Independent), “cult Serbian orchestra” (Financial Times), “the most successful cultural institution in Serbia” (Jutarnji list, Zagreb) and “the strongest PR weapon in Serbia” (Kvelsposten , Malmo).
Reconstructed in that period is the building of the Belgrade Philharmonic, the instruments in a large part of the orchestra have been renewed, the orchestra has been rejuvenated, the highest quality musicians who have returned from schooling abroad have been hired. He started the Zubin Mehta Foundation in 2004, which is considered the originator and main promoter of the model of financing culture through cooperation between the private and state sectors in Serbia. He held the position of Minister of Culture from September 2013 to August 2016, but after that he returned to his old job.
