Now people will not be able to move in groups of 5 or more from 5 am to 11 pm anywhere in Maharashtra. Schools have been ordered to remain closed till February 15.

There will be no movement from 11 pm to 5 am except for essential works. At the same time, no visitor will be allowed to enter government offices with the permission of the head of the department. Heads of Departments will work from home based on requirements as well as flexible working hours so that the staff can work as per the requirement.

Hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, auditoriums in the state will operate with 50% seating capacity till 10 pm, home delivery of food will be allowed.

Regarding the new restrictions, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, I repeat that we want to reduce unnecessary crowds but do not want to impose any lockdown. No restrictions will be in effect until we all follow the COVID protocols. I request you to be alert to the symptoms and seek medical advice as soon as possible.
