Daily deaths from covid in Colombia were back at 50

This Sunday, January 9, 2022, one year and 10 months after the first contagion of covid-19 was registered in Colombia , the country reached a historical total of 5,330,662 infections.

That figure was reached with the new reported daily infections, which were 30,630 after processing 105,400 tests (46,158 of PCR and 59,242 of antigens).

As of this Sunday, of the total of positives, 5,043,410 have recovered, while 138,056 are still active.

In addition, 30,377,605 analyzed samples were reached.

The areas of the country with the most historical cases are Bogotá (1’512.386), Antioquia (829.16266 le del Cauca (466,626), Atlántico (350,559) and Cundinamarca (272,210).

And worldwide 306,458,415 have been confirmed infections.

As for deaths, there were reported 50 new ones, of which 44 occurred on days other than this January 9.

In total, the pandemic has already left 130,338 dead on Colombian soil

and 5,487,422 worldwide.

As of January 7, 69,949,800 doses of vaccines against covid have been distributed in the country, of which 66,208,299 have been applied. In addition, the number of people with a complete vaccination schedule is 29,056,869 and the reinforcements applied, 3,802,466.
