Danielle Armstrong’s baby name meaning as TOWIE star continues Irish theme

Danielle Armstrong has announced her baby daughter’s nam after welcoming her second child.

On Thursday, 20 July, the former TOWIE star, 35, confirmed that she and husband Tommy Edney had welcomed a second daughter.

The pair are already parents to little Orla, who is three.

Sharing a picture from her hospital bed, as she cradled her newborn, Danielle wrote: “Orla got her wish… Its a girl.”

And now, Danielle has revealed that she and Tommy have named their daughter Una Rae Edney.

Una is a girl’s name with both Latin and Irish origins, meaning “one” and “only” in Latin, and deriving from the Irish word uan , meaning “lamb,” according to The Bump.

It’s a very rare name in England, where were only 67 Unas born last year.

It appears Danielle is a fan of Irish monikers, after naming her firstborn daughter Orla.

Meanwhile, the name Rae is short-form of Rachel. It is a gender-neutral name that eludes to one who is favoured most tenderly.

Derived from the Hebrew Raḥel, Rae means “ewe”.

Danielle announced the lovely moniker alongside a compilation video of the day her daughter arrived and shared that her little one was 7.6 lbs.

While Danielle had kept her due date private, she had revealed to her fans that she would be welcoming baby number two in July.

She admitted that while she wasn’t as organised during her second pregnancy, she felt more emotionally prepared than she was when pregnant the first time around.

As she cradled her bare baby bump in a black bikini top and skirt before giving birth, the blonde beauty wrote: “It’s Baby Month.

“This pregnancy has gone really quick maybe because with Orla we were in Lockdown or the fact this time round I’ve had a toddler keeping me on my swollen toes.”

She added: “I don’t feel as organised as I was in my first pregnancy, but I feel more emotionally prepared although I know going from 1 to 2 is going to hit us hard.

“Literally can’t wait to find out who we are going to meet and I know he or she will just make our family complete.”
