Compulsory vaccination applies only to persons over 18 years of age, with the exception of pregnant women and those who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons
who have never taken the vaccine and then receive a fine of between € 600 and € 3,600 (approximately HUF 1.2 million), depending on whether or not they have already been called for vaccination .
In Austria, 75% of the population over the age of 5 is currently vaccinated, and the aim is for the law to increase this to at least 85-90% in order to minimize the number of deaths.
