Major events can be held smoothly and nightclubs can be reopened. However, certain rules for non-vaccinees remain in force. The MTI report does not detail what these are.
Following a proposal from the Legislative Committee on Epidemiology, the government withdrew the classification of Covid-19 as a socially critical disease on 1 February. Denmark had already lifted the restrictions completely once last September. In a country with a population of almost six million, the daily number of new infections has recently ranged from ten to twenty thousand.
a faster-spreading omicron variant is responsible. However, the high number of infections was not associated with hospital overcrowding.
