The Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 133-96 at home in another regular season match of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The Colorado team left no doubt about its superiority, at one point leading by 42 points. The current holder of the title of Most Valuable Player in the League Nikola Jokic finished with a triple-double – 17 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists, shooting 7/12 from the field. Bones Highland was the top scorer with a career-high 27 points and ten rebounds, with 26 added by Jeff Green. For the Lakers, LeBron James scored 25 points and Russell Westbrook scored 19, but their efforts were insufficient for the Californians.
Denver is sixth in the Western Conference with a balance of 22-19, while the Lakers are seventh with 21-22 after their third consecutive loss. In its next games, LA hosts Utah Jazz on Monday, and Denver hosts the Jazz Jacks a day earlier.
