Wattens – A taxi driver on the Inntalautobahn was pulled out of traffic by the police at a much higher speed on Saturday. The 27-year-old was traveling without passengers. At around 2:30 p.m., he accelerated to 176 and then again to 169 km/h, despite the 100 km/h speed limit and snowy road as well as persistent snowfall and sidetracks. The Austrian only slowed down because he encountered a slow column of cars driving in front of him.
