Powerball players eagerly awaited the numbers for the $580 million drawing on Saturday night.
The Powerball numbers in the October 22 drawing were 19, 25, 48, 55, 60 and the Powerball was 18. The Power Play was 2X.
However, there were no jackpot winners as no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday night, according to the Powerball website.
But although Saturday’s jackpot was not won, there were some players who will be celebrating big cash prizes.
Three players, from New York, South Carolina and Texas, correctly matched all five white balls to win $1 million each.
Thirty-six players correctly matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 each. Six additional players who correctly guessed four white balls and the Powerball doubled their winnings to $100,000 each thanks to a Power Play purchase.
Meanwhile, 733 players matched four white balls to win $100 prizes, with 162 more won $200 because of the Power Play.
With no winner of the grand prize on Saturday, the jackpot will continue to climb for the next drawing on Monday. Monday’s jackpot currently stands at $610 million, which ranks as the 8th largest grand prize in Powerball history. It has a cash value of $292.6 million.
The Powerball jackpot was last hit on August 3 when a player in Pennsylvania matched all six numbers to win $206.9 million.
Earlier in the year, winners in California and Wisconsin split a $630 million prize, the seventh largest jackpot in Powerball history, in early January.
A player from Connecticut won the grand prize, worth about $183 million, in the February 14 drawing.
Then, a $473.1 million jackpot was won on April 27 in Arizona, followed by a $366.7 million jackpot won on June 29 in Vermont.
How To Play Powerball
Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with players selecting five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. In certain circumstances, players can also multiply non-jackpot prizes by using the Power Play option for an additional $1.
Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the lottery studio located in Tallahassee, Florida.
Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump sum payment. Both advertised prize options are prior to federal and jurisdictional taxes.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9, according to the Powerball website. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. “Even if there are more tickets sold in a particular drawing, your odds of winning a prize are the same,” the website states.
