Didier Deschamps on why Kylian Mbappe was left out of France squad again

In a surprising twist, Kylian Mbappe will not feature in France’s squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Italy and Israel.

This marks the second time the French captain has been left out, following his absence from the October games.

National team coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the decision, revealing he had private discussions with Mbappe before reaching his final call.

The news is even more unexpected as Mbappe himself expressed a desire to join his teammates for these games.

Deschamps, however, clarified that the decision wasn’t due to any internal issues. “I had discussions with Kylian and made my decision. It’s better this way…” he explained, adding that Mbappe was eager to play.

Only one Real Madrid star in Deschamps’ new squad

While Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga made the list, Mbappe’s form has been under scrutiny, possibly influencing Deschamps’ decision.

Injury concerns also ruled out Aurelien Tchouameni and Ferland Mendy, adding to the shake-up in the French lineup.

Fans and critics alike are eager to see how Les Bleus perform without their star captain as the UEFA Nations League action heats up.

Whether this absence marks a turning point in Deschamps’ leadership approach or just a temporary setback for Mbappe remains to be seen.
