Deutschland will in die Weltspitze künstlicher Intelligenz aufsteigen – mithilfe von DIN-Normen. Doch Brüssel bremst Berlin aus und verschafft ausgerechnet China einen entscheidenden Vorsprung.
An Arbeitsplätzen wie dem von Christoph Legat ist man umgeben von genormten Dingen: Der Computerbildschirm, das Material des Schreibtisches, die Maschinen des Arbeitgebers – alles entspricht einer Beschreibung, von denen viele das Deutsche Institut für Normung (DIN) festgelegt hat. Mehr als 34.000 DIN-Normen gibt es, mit denen Verfahren, Produkte und Dienstleistungen standardisiert werden, damit nicht jeder nach eigenen Regeln arbeitet und am Ende nichts mehr zusammenpasst. Nun sollen weitere Normen hinzukommen: für künstliche Intelligenz (KI). Legat, der beim Maschinenbauer Hekuma aus Hallbergmoos bei München für Digitalisierung zuständig ist, hofft auf Leitlinien im Umgang mit der neuen Technologie: „Was muss ich beachten?“– das sollen KI-Normen vorgeben, wenn Legat zunehmend KI in den Maschinen integriert.
