Door 407 has officially announced a prequel for their medieval base-building survival RTS game, Diplomacy is Not an Option. This new title will be a free game and it will be coming out this year. The game offers two story missions and a special Endless Mode map. Like the original, set for its 1.0 release on October 4, Diplomacy is Not an Option: Shareware challenges players to build up their economy and gather armies to face huge waves of enemies.

Diplomacy is Not an Option

Dive into the prequel where the adventure starts long before the main campaign! You step into the shoes of Duncan Ironbrow, a renowned filibuster suddenly thrust into the world of high-stakes politics. Unexpectedly, you’re now at the heart of Samreignia’s Battle for Independence, and it’s up to you to lead the charge as its unlikely hero.

In this thrilling prequel, you’ll embark on two story-driven missions that test your strategy and leadership. On top of that, there’s a special map layout exclusive to Endless Mode, where the challenge never stops. Much like the original RTS, *Diplomacy is Not an Option: Shareware* has you balancing the growth of your economy with the need to build and train powerful armies. Can you hold your ground against relentless enemy forces, or will you be overwhelmed by the chaos of war? The fate of a nation is in your hands!
