Dominnico’s love for Kawaii and motorcycle cultures is no secret. Creative director Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro explored that passion in previous collections. However, this time he went a step further: “It is not just about the concept, that ode to avatars and cars is also present through the materials and techniques we used here,” he explained, referring to pieces such as a jacket built from upcycled car tapestry or pants finished in upholstery material.

Rodríguez has dug deeper into his brand’s roots to find what he defines as a concentrated Dominnico essence. “The circumstances forced us to present a shorter collection,” he said. “But at the same time, this has allowed me to curate every single piece and detail, making sure that absolutely everything has a reason and a meaning within the whole set.” The result is an exaltation of the brand’s core and a much-needed balance between his aesthetics and a more commercial approach. “I think I have finally found that equilibrium between what I want to tell the world and what my customer looks for in the brand,” he said.

That search was marked by the use of materials such as Tencel or faux leather, but also by the introduction of new avatar-like silhouettes. Reversible pieces were some of the biggest technical challenges, as were the tracksuits, here presented as the epitome of luxury. “The new generations, their relationship with video games, and of course the whole manga culture, never ceases to inspire me,” said Domingo. “We want to keep exploring towards functionality and streetwear aesthetics, but we also keep tradition and sustainability in mind.”
