The dreadful aftermath of a Russian attack on a medical facility in Ukraine has been revealed. Volodymyr Zelensky announced today that “Russian terrorists” blew up a clinic in the eastern city of Dnipro, leaving at least one dead and over a dozen wounded. The shelling of the hospital follows overnight attacks in the city. Ukraine claimed it shot down 10 missiles and 25 Russian drones last night.

Zelensky said: “Russian terrorists once again confirm their status of fighters against everything humane and honest.

“A rocket attack on a clinic in the city of Dnipro. As of now, one person was killed and 15 were wounded. The shelling aftermath is being eliminated and the victims are being rescued. All necessary services are involved.

“My condolences to the family of the deceased.

“We must defeat these inhumans irrevocably and as soon as possible. Because our time is our people. And our people are the most precious thing in Ukraine.”

The governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region shared photos on his Telegram at 10.09am showing the hospital in flames with fire crews present.

According to Mr Lysak, a fire covering 500 square metres started after two buildings were struck at the facility. He said the rescue is ongoing with fire crews trying to extinguish the flames.

He confirmed two young boys, a three and a six-year-old, were both rushed to hospital after the attack.

He also said 11 adults were injured.

Ukrainian state media broadcaster Suspline reports four people are missing after the attack in Dnipro.

Fifty firefighters are tackling the massive blaze that “partially destroyed” a three-story building, Mr Lysak added.
