Due to Covid-19 in Liepaja, quarantine has been established for 74 classes

Due to the presence of Covid-19 in Liepāja, quarantine was imposed on 74 classes or 2149 pupils, LETA was informed by the Liepāja City Board of Education.

If Covid-19 was diagnosed in 45 students last week, it is now in 161 students. )

From last week, the distance learning regime was established in two educational institutions – until January 25 for all classes in Liepāja Rainis Secondary School No. 6 and until January 24 in Liepāja Secondary School No. 7 for pupils in grades 5-12. Pupils from these schools are expected to return to school next week if the situation does not get worse through weekly testing.

In the next week, pupils of 4th-6th grades of Liepāja Center Primary School will switch to the distance learning process. The decision on the form of distance learning has been made with the increase in the incidence of various diseases among teachers, not only with Covid-19.
