Ein YouTube-Video hat erstmals 10 Milliarden Views überschritten

Ein Kinderlied ist seit Jahren unangefochten auf Platz 1 der YouTube-Charts.

Der Erfolg des sehr eingängigen Kinderliedes “Baby Shark” von Pinkfong ist seit 2020 unangefochten an der Spitze der meistgesehenen YouTube-Videos aller Zeiten. Nun hat es die magische Grenze von 10 Milliarden Aufrufen geknackt. Es ist das erste Video auf der Plattform, das diese Marke überschritten hat. 

Seit der Song mit niedlichen Comic-Haien 2016 hochgeladen wurde, scheint seine Beliebtheit immer weiter zu steigen. Anfang 2020 war es mit 4,35 Milliarden Views noch auf Platz 3 der YouTube-Charts, hinter Ed Sheerans “Shape of You” (heute 5,6 Milliarden) und Luis Fonsis “Despacito” (heute 7,7 Mrd.). Die hat “Baby Shark” jetzt weit hinter sich gelassen. 

Der Sender Nickleodeon hat im vergangenen Jahr eine TV-Serie zum Song gestartet. Auch ein Kinofilm ist in Arbeit. Das deutet darauf hin, dass auch in Zukunft der Erfolg – oder zumindest die Präsenz – von “Baby Shark” nicht abreisen wird. Es gibt sogar eine NFT-Kollektion der Charaktere.
