While Elon Musk may be straying further and further away from his Twitter acquisition; it hasn’t stopped the billionaire from using the platform extensively. In his latest line of tweets, the Tesla CEO commented on Amazon Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
The 51-year-old recently expressed how the new show isn’t up to his liking, saying that, “Tolkien is turning in his grave,” further adding, “Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart, and nice.”

While the show in itself has garnered a mixed bag of reactions, Musk’s remarks didn’t quite sit well with the internet, including the author of The Sandman, Neil Gaiman, who while replying to one of his fans said, “Elon Musk doesn’t come to me for advice on how to fail to buy Twitter, and I don’t go to him for film, TV or literature criticism.”

This doesn’t come as a surprise to many who are aware of the Musk vs Bezos business rivalry, with the two competing with each other in the spaceflight businesses, with Musk’s Space X and Bezos’ Blue Origin.

Meanwhile, the Rings of Power continues to draw mixed reactions ever since its two-hour debut last week. The backlash over changing the lore set up by J. R. R. Tolkien, even lead to Amazon disabling the user rating for the show. Regardless of that, the show has already been renewed for a second season, which doesn’t come as a surprise considering the first two seasons were shot simultaneously with a budget seemingly exceeding a billion dollars.

Those who claim any criticism of Rings of Power means you’re racist are outing themselves as closet racists

It’s good! Your feud with Bezos doesn’t need to extend to TV

Would you say the same about the Hobbit trilogy? Wasn’t exactly true to source material either.

when will society realize we’ve had enough of listening to elon musk’s opinions on things when his thoughts are not more qualified than the rest of ours?

Can we please make @neilhimself emperor of twitter?

Elon Musk’s opinion doesn’t matter. If you don’t like the show just watch something else or try reading a book.
