Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola will reportedly demand a £43million-a-year salary for the Borussia Dortmund striker if he leaves next summer.
The Norwegian, 21, has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, who look set to lose Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid with his contract set to expire next summer.
However, his agent Raiola is famously a tough negotiator, and reports claim he intends to secure a mammoth wage packet for his client.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Raiola is set to ask for around £827,000-a-week for Haaland.
Haaland has been an absolute phenomenon at Dortmund, hitting 68 goals in 67 matches for the Bundesliga outfit since joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2019.
Due to an injury, he watched on from the stands as his side defeated Augburg 2-1 on Saturday.
He has been linked with several top European clubs, including Premier League trio Chelsea, Man City and Man United.
Former Chelsea and Liverpool defender Glen Johnson believes that City should prioritise a move for Haaland over Kylian Mbappe at the end of the season.
Speaking to bettingexpert, Johnson was asked which of the two players City should target at the end of the campaign.
“Erling Haaland is the obvious one,” said the former England international.
“He’s got a lot of time in front of him and looks like the type of player who would suit the Premier League. I know there’s talk of Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG, but for me, if I was a City owner and I could sign one player it would be Haaland.”
