Experts: “The general introduction of the 4th vaccine is not technically justified in the current epidemiological situation”

In a statement, KEKSz responded to the government’s announcement of the fourth vaccination on January 13-13 . According to the 11 experts who signed the resolution, “the general introduction of the 4th vaccine is not professionally justified in the current epidemiological situation”, writes 444 . However, experts added that there are groups for whom they also consider the fourth vaccine important, those who are immunocompromised or immunosuppressed, those over 60 who have received two Sinopharm as a primary vaccine, and healthcare workers who are at high risk. KEKSz also points out that since the number of unvaccinated people in Hungary is high in Europe, the government should focus on administering the first three vaccinations. Finally, experts have proposed a number of measures that they believe outperform the fourth vaccine in terms of social benefits, such as wearing FFP2 masks in public enclosures and on public transportation, and providing these masks free of charge to the socially deprived.
