Facebook has announced new features for group chats for Messenger and Instagram, including the ability to vote and writing indicators.
Facebook announced (a giant Social networking in the world that owns the applications of WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger) today announced a new feature for group chats, which allows users to participate in these conversations via Messenger and Facebook at the same time. This means that Instagram users are able to enter a group chat that includes Messenger users. The integration of Instagram and Messenger chats, whereby the user has a unified account that enables them to access the services of the two platforms at the same time. Facebook has stated that more than 70% of Instagram and Messenger users have started using the new unified experience, since the first update was launched.
Facebook aims to improve the integration experience more and more with the new update. The user can easily create chat groups that include his contacts, whether they are via Messenger or Instagram.
The new experience offers all the customization features that the user is accustomed to. It also includes choosing certain reactions. Besides choosing different designs for conversation.
Writing indicators
Group chats on Facebook platforms have also received new features, perhaps the most prominent of which are writing indicators. An indicator will appear indicating whether one of the group members is currently writing a message.

And the company was not satisfied with that, as it started making the Watch Together feature available to Instagram users as well. Thus, Instagram users will be able to collectively watch content with Messenger users and other Instagram users.
The platform allows the separation of Instagram and Messenger accounts for users who want to do so, as this merger is not considered mandatory until now.
This can be done by going to the “Account Center” option within the settings on Instagram and then separating the two accounts.
The group chat merging feature is already available, but it may take some time to reach all users around the world.
This new feature reveals Facebook’s desire to attract the largest possible number of users for its messaging and chat services. This is in light of the presence of safer competitors such as Signal and Telegram.
