In the tragic accident that took place, two girls died today from an electric shock in Obrenovac.

The mother was working at the time of the accident, and the children were alone in the apartment. They filled the bathtub with water to bathe and, as is suspected, the water started to overflow at one point and then an electric shock occurred somewhere.

According to earlier media reports, the mother was bathing the children and also suffered an electric shock, but this information has not been officially confirmed yet.

Previously, around 3:40 pm, one of the neighbors called the duty service and reported that there was a flood in the apartment in Obrenovac and that someone is calling for help.

As the neighbors assume, the electric shock happened while the girls were bathing. The water started to flow from the 6th floor where they live to the lower floors. Neighbors realized that something was wrong.

The patrol immediately went to the scene and found that there were three children in the apartment, aged between 6 and 8, two of whom were transported by ambulance. to the Health Center where resuscitation was attempted, but the girls were not rescued. The death occurred around 5:10 p.m. The third child was not injured and was found in bed.

According to one of the neighbors from the building, another sister who was younger than them was in the apartment with them. According to the neighbors’ assumptions, the electric shock happened while the girls were bathing. The water started to flow from the 6th floor, where they live on the lower floors. The neighbors then realized that something was wrong.

As they said, they lived in the apartment with their mother, and their father is in prison. There are currently no police in front of and around the building. The bodies of the children are now in the morgue in the Health Center.
