Hot on the heels of the project’s announcement on Saturday, Beyonce has unveiled the first trailer for her forthcoming concert film based on her Renaissance World Tour concert.
The trailer confirms the official title “Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce” and the film’s December 1st theatrical release date. Her company, Parkwood Entertainment, produced the film.
In a press release on Business Wire, it is confirmed AMC Theatres Distribution will release the film worldwide – essentially in the same way as it’s doing with upcoming Taylor Swift concert film this month.
The film follows the tour from its opening show in Stockholm, Sweden, to the grand finale in Kansas City, Missouri. It will be a blend of filmed footage of her concert and behind-the-scenes footage about the tour’s making.
The movie opens in North America on December 1st with additional global cities to be announced at a later date. The experience will air Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, for a minimum of four weeks, with multiple showtimes throughout the day.
The film will be available in IMAX at AMC and Dolby Cinema at AMC, along with other branded premium large format screens. Cinemark, Regal, Cinepolis and Cineplex will also exhibit the film.
Tickets are now available for purchase through official distributor sites and movie ticket sites like Fandango.
