Flere så Sverige vinne EM-gull enn Norge skaffe VM-billett

De siste par ukene har håndball-EM blitt avviklet i Slovakia og Ungarn, og det var til slutt Sverige med den norske treneren Glenn Solberg som kunne juble for triumf.

For etter en meget tett og jevn finale avgjorde svenskene kampen med et straffekast i kampens siste sekund. Ballen fant vegen til nettmaskene og Sverige vant med det finalen 27-26 over Spania.

Det var i gjennomsnitt 261.000 nordmenn som fikk med seg finalen på TV 3 søndag kveld. Sendingen hadde en topp på 419.000 seere.

Norge spilte for øvrig en meget viktig kamp på fredag. For selv om det kun sto om femteplassen i EM, så ga nettopp denne femteplassen VM-billett til neste år.

Norge møtte Island som også ville til VM. Kampen hadde et gjennomsnitt på 178.000 seere på TV 3, med en topp på 297.000 seere. Norge vant kampen etter ekstraomganger med resultatet 34-33.

Den mest sette kampen for TV 3 i dette EM ble kampen i hovedrunden mellom Norge og Sverige. En kamp Norge hadde et solid grep om, men hvor de norske guttene snublet helt i andre omgang. Kampen ble sett av 774.000 seere på det meste og ble spilt tirsdag forrige uke.
