The 35-year-old former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will start working in a managerial position in the US Silicon Valley in February – Kronen Zeitung reported on Saturday, adding that less than a month has passed when Kurz made a declaration of complete withdrawal from politics.

Dust has announced its decision on December 2. He motivated her with the birth of a son and the desire to devote time to his family. He declared that he was completely withdrawing from politics and resigning from all his functions, including the chairman of the Austrian People’s Party (OeVP). “The decision was not easy, but I do not feel sad. I am extremely grateful for everything that I have experienced in the last ten years,” he stressed.

Working for a decade in politics, Kurz has achieved virtually everything – he served as secretary of state, the youngest foreign minister in the country’s history, the youngest federal chancellor and head of the OeVP party. “Twice won National Council elections. Meetings with Putin and Trump. Irritated by Merkel and the EU. Forgotten Austria has once again become visible on the international stage” – describes the political career of Kurz “Kronen Zeitung”.

Kurz argued that it was the birth of his son that made him want to devote more time to his family. Political activity absorbed him too much, and more and more often he “felt hunted and cornered”. He referred to the charges against him of involvement in corruption scandals.

A few days earlier, on November 17 , Kurz waived his parliamentary immunity, and the prosecutor’s office resumed an investigation against him and his closest associates in connection with the 2016 corruption scandal. are unfounded. “

Sebastian Kurz’s son, Konstantin Sebastian, was born on November 27th. “The young dad was present at the birth”, writes “Kronen Zeitung”. Kurz is not currently giving any interviews. His chancellor’s office has been cleaned up a long time ago – writes the journal. The dust “took only a small crucifix from him, which had previously hung on the wall in each of his offices.”

Last week, a report on the audit of the Ministry of Finance was published, which disclosed, inter alia, detection of unjustified payments in the amount of over PLN 120 thousand euros made in 2016 by persons associated with Kurzem. “According to the head of the Financial Prosecutor’s Office Wolfgang Peschorn, this report does not contain any personal charges against Susanne Thier, Sebastian Kurz’s partner, who worked in the huge communications department of the federal Ministry of Finance until her maternity leave,” Kronen Zeitung points out.

“Proving innocence can take years, as other cases have shown. Until then, Kurz junior may even finish high school,” he writes newspapers, stressing that in early February Kurz will start a new job “at a global company in Silicon Valley.” It is known for now that the contract has already been signed, and more information will soon be made public.

“In the future, the former chancellor will lead a classic managerial life between San Francisco, Vienna, Germany and Switzerland. Susanne and his son will partially accompany him in this. In addition, he will most likely take up positions in international supervisory boards” – writes the journal, citing friends Kurza adds that the ex-chancellor “definitely rules out a return to politics.”

Another change in life Kurza is to marry Susanne Thier after 16 years of acquaintance.
