Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno needs a knee surgery, but has a national insurance service that is almost free of charge. It took too long to use, and his friends started raising funds to cover medical expenses, hoping to have surgery in private.
This crowdfunding campaign has been regularly held since 1976, shortly after Iron Maiden began his live performances. The owner of the pub Cart & Horses in London has started. According to them, Diano has been in a wheelchair for about eight years and has been waiting for surgery for six to seven years. His legs are now swollen and difficult to walk.
