The family of Ahmed Al-Mahzari, who is currently in Germany for treatment, confirmed that the hospital was contacted by the Ministry of Health and the Attaché to look into his situation after closing his file this month after he was unable to return to Saudi Arabia. The family indicated that the treatment bill that was paid by his brother during one of the chemotherapy sessions was calculated within the bill of the Ministry of Health, and a report was requested from the hospital by the ministry in preparation for his transfer to Saudi Arabia. She thanked the Royal Court, the Ministry of Health and the attaché, explaining that they are doing a great humanitarian work, which is not surprising for the men of this generous country, which put the citizen first despite the conditions of the pandemic that the world is going through.
His family said that Their message to the minister is to continue his treatment in Germany until the condition stabilizes, as he is currently undergoing chemotherapy sessions, and that their demand is to complete the sessions, and then several operations will be performed. Indicating that her hope is in God, and then in the Minister, that the treatment will be extended, and in the event that he is transferred to Saudi Arabia, the treatment and acceptance of the case will be at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. “Previously” to the Minister of Health, in which she confirmed that their son’s file in the hospital was closed in the fourth decade of life, pointing out that the costs of the treatment bill for cancer are very high, and indicated that she is currently required to pay in order to complete the treatment according to the set plan of chemotherapy sessions, operations, and others

He explained that an order was issued for him to return to complete his treatment at King Faisal Specialist Hospital after months, but – according to what he mentioned – his health condition worsened; Which prompted the hospital in Germany to enter the care unit; Which prevented him from returning to the Kingdom.
He added that the hospital asked them to pay the costs of the rest of the treatment, including chemotherapy sessions and operations.
