Germič at the head of the Shooting Association of Slovenia

The current president led the union for two terms

Ljubo Germič is the new president of the Shooting Association of Slovenia (SZS). He replaced Janez Slapar in this position.

In the middle of the electoral assembly of the SZS- Yes, at the shooting range on Dolenjska cesta in Ljubljana, 60-year-old Germič replaced Janez Slapar , who was president for two terms: first between 1992 and 2005, and then between 2012 and 2021.

Germič is a former president of the National Assembly and has been active in shooting for more than fifty years. Since 1983, he has also been the president of the Shooting Association of the 1st Pohorje Battalion Ruše, which for the last 27 years has traditionally hosted one of the most attractive and attractive international air rifle shooting competitions for the Grand Prix in Ruše.

The new first man of the association was a member of the presidency between 2001 and 2009, between 2013 and 2017 vice-president of the SZS, and he was also the president of the organizing committee of the European Air Weapons Championship in Maribor in 2017.

Germič will also be running for the presidency of the European Shooting Association (ESC) in the second half of this month. The ESC Assembly will be held in Larnaca, Cyprus from 21 to 23 October
Well-known coach Polonca Sladič will continue to be the vice-president of SZS, and the new vice-president is the former top trap shooter Andraž Lipolt , who competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics

The members of the SZS presidency in the new term between 2021 and 2025 are Branko Valenko , Srečko Hudoklin , Branko Košir and Gregor Kmetec .
