It was this summer that the message came that God of War Ragnarok – the next game in the saga of the war god Kratos – had to be postponed until 2022 . Sony did not say much about the background, but now the voice actor tells Kratos that he was behind the delay. In a longer thread on Twitter Christopher Judge explains that he struggled with a number of health-related issues in August 2019. He had to have surgery on his back, both hips and knees, and Sony Santa Monica decided to keep the game for to give him time to get back on his feet. Judge sends a big thank you to the developer, who should have given him full support all the way.

Studios are assholes, but this company – from top to bottom – should give us hope. As Judge says, he has not received approval from Sony or the developer studio to talk about this.
