Google brings Gemini 2.0 Flash to web and mobile app

To take advantage of Flash 2.0 you’ll need Gemini Advanced

Google has announced that the Gemini app on mobile is now using Gemini 2.0 Flash, a model that offers faster responses and better performance across various benchmarks.

Gemini Advanced users will now have access to 1 million token context window for more than 1,500 pages of file uploads and will get priority access to new features.

Google has also upgraded its image generation and is now using the latest version of Imagen three, which offers richer details and better textures and can follow your instructions with greater accuracy. Imagen 3 can also create images of people, which was probably a big annoyance I had with previous versions of the image generation AI.

Gemini 2.0 Flash is now rolling out across the web and mobile, but Gemini 1.5 Flash and 1.5 Pro will be available to continue your conversations with the AI.

I don’t see the update on any of my Android devices yet, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t either. However, I already see Gemini Flash 2.0 on the browser version of Gemini.

Gemini Advanced costs $26.99 monthly but is free for the first month.
