Google Search can now tune guitars! try it

Google search is already capable of very interesting things. However, the search engine giant is never satisfied. So, behold, a new function has just arrived to Google’s search that allows you to tune guitars. This is great news especially because then we don’t need to walk around the Play Store looking for apps that in some cases only fill our smartphone with advertising and not they work so well.

Google confirmed to the AndroidPolice website that it already has the tuner, although it even had a similar functionality through the command fine tune my instrument. However, it is much easier to use and compatible with virtually all devices. This is as long as they have a modern browser or a microphone.

Just search for Google Tuner in Google search or Google tuner and we will soon have access to this occupation. On the computer it is something similar to the image below. Pesquisa Google afinadorPesquisa Google afinador

However on mobile devices it appears as shown below. In practice it is almost the same.

Overall works very well, although things vary from smartphone to smartphone. In some, the guitar sound usually has to be loud for the tuner to have the desired accuracy. In others you don’t need any of that and tuning guitars, including acoustic ones, works well.

The tuner tells us quickly if we need to raise or lower a string and what grade we are on.

However and despite working well on the computer, we recommend that you do it on your smartphone. It’s just that microphones are usually more sensitive than those we have in notebooks. However, and as I mentioned, it all depends on the smartphone and the computer we are using.

With the popularization of

smartphones, dedicated hardware for tuning is much rarer. However, there is a lack of apps that are really good and have precision. In any case, Google’s bet comes in quite handy.
