HC Pustertal got off to a lightning start in the home game against the Dornbirn Bulldogs, and Shane Hanna met in the third minute after a perfect Harju pass for guidance. When Reece Willcox (9th) surprised DEC goalie David Madlener, it was 2-0. After a nice single action, Ivan Deluca increased in the 18th minute with the third goal. The Vorarlbergers drew hope from an O’Donnell hit shortly before the break. In the middle section Davis Vandane even brought the guests 3-2, but with a shorthander from Deluca (39th) the momentum changed sides again. In the final section, Max Gerlach made it 5-2. The Wolves won three of four season duels with Dornbirn and improved to ninth place.
