The suspected meth was in plain view of the officers, prompting a vehicle search that led to the discovery of the cards, which did not belong to any of vehicle’s occupants, RCMP said in a news release. Bear spray and items used in the manufacturing of fraudulent credit cards were also found in the search, the release said.
Small amounts of other suspected illegal street drugs were also uncovered. Officers then found the VIN on the vehicle had been tampered with, and that the vehicle had earlier been reported stolen in Regina.
Three men — one from Calgary and two from Regina — face various charges, including drug possession, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of instruments or devices to falsify or forge credit cards.
The men have been remanded to appear in provincial court in Swift Current on Oct. 4.
