Looks like Star Wars is a day one for me! My most anticipated game in years. I will likely get Assassins Creed later in the sales as well.
AC shadows and Outlaws for me. I will probably have to wait to buy. My backlog is ridiculous and Elden Ring expansion is coming out next week.
Not a bad showcase. Outlaws and Shadows showed out and both are day 1 for me, and the content drop announcements for Rogue PoP and Lost Crown were great. They shouldn’t have bothered with the Sands Of Time news or Anno turning up to say we’ll be back properly next year 😐. I did expect a shock announcement, whether it was unveiling of the next Far Cry or BG&E2’s return, but what we ended up getting was fine.
Passable show I’d give a C grade to.
Edit: I forgot about The Division 2 news which was actually pretty good to get as well!
Outlaws and Shadows… Well I was going to say “stole the show” but it was always about those two.
Exceeded expectations, that’s for sure.
And mine were high.
I didn’t watch it, but Assassin’s Creed and Star Wars look great. They say that they are remaking Black Flag… I wonder if it’s true. What about a new Rayman?
Well, I guess Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition isn’t launching in early 2024 after all then. I would have expected an announcement at some point in the past 6 months regarding its delay, but whatever, not like it’s a big deal. I mean, especially since you can already buy Beyond Good and Evil HD on Xbox One and Series X/S.
Kind of a snooze fest for me. Don’t like playing two different characters in assassin’s creed because it looks like uou know what to expect for each character. One is straight forward and combat heavy the other is stealth. So you know when you play that character you know what your getting into. Outlaws was some of the same stuff they showed last time some gameplay and how much different this game is. Just kinda boring. The awesome announcement was the sands of time remake.
@Banjo-
I watched and was posting for a new Rayman but nothing at all. I tried hard for us 🤣
It would have be great to have had a new Rayman platform game, something different amongst the other big AAA games.
We can dream 💭
That Ubisoft Forward was great! I’m definitely looking forward to most of what they showed.
Ubisoft should do like EA another even have one at this point.
Honestly surprised they are still updating For Honor 8 years later. Didn’t think it had a big enough player base after all these years to justify the dev cost. I played it for the first 6 months or so, it was cool, but I eventually moved on.
I enjoyed this one…. Outlaws looks brilliant… and I was excited to see The Division 2 still getting supported with more seasons and updates, it’s one of my most played games, love it… and they’ve only just started??? I love those sneaky comments they throw in at the end, it keeps you wondering what’s to come. 😬
@cburg It really is a golden age of gaming. It’s bizarre how many people like to complain about reveal shows etc when we’re all dealing with significant backlogs of excellent games.
I finished the Avatar game recently.
Have the Season Pass for it, so it is good to know that there is more content coming soon.
This is apparently called “The Sky Breaker”. I wonder just what that title means.
@Banjo-
Yes. I really enjoyed it.
It perfectly captures the atmosphere of the films. It is fair to say that the game is simply a Far Cry clone, with a coat of blue paint. However, the recreation of the world of Pandora is just stunning, and the exploration feels natural.
I explored the map, not for the usual Ubisoft checklist of stuff, but because I genuinely wanted to see what was over the next hill.
The idea of clearing installations and camps, in order to heal the surrounding wilderness, and thereby gain access to its resources – this was very clever.
But honestly, I love the Avatar movies as well. If you do not enjoy those films, then you would be unlikely to enjoy 50-odd hours exploring Pandora.
