If you’re after a designer look without the hefty price tag, then high street favourite H&M has got you covered. The retail giant has just launched the perfect summer accessory – the Hobo Bag, available for £32.99 here.
This chic and slouchy shoulder bag is strikingly similar to Loewe’s Squeeze medium Chain-Embellished Gathered Leather Shoulder Bag, which retails at a whopping £3350 here. The H&M version comes in two different colours and boasts an effortlessly stylish slouchy design, making it the ideal choice for those wanting to achieve the designer look on a budget. While the Loewe handbag draws inspiration from the brand’s 70s archives and is crafted from buttery real leather, H&M’s offering maintains a similar vintage aesthetic but is made from faux leather, keeping it affordable.
The H&M Hobo Bag features an oversized relaxed shape, measuring 17cm deep, 29cm high and 46cm wide. It’s the ultimate all-purpose handbag, with enough space to fit work essentials like a laptop or tablet, or even pack it full of sunny day essentials for a family day out.
H&M’s Hobo Bag, with its unstructured rectangular shape and chain handle that doubles as a drawstring closure, is reminiscent of Loewe’s design. However, the high street version has a less ruched appearance and features two faux leather string ties on one side for added style, reports the Mirror. It also boasts a hidden magnetic fastening at the top to keep your belongings secure.
Available in both burgundy and beige, this bag offers versatility and style. If you’re after a more classic look, Charles and Keith’s Cyrus Slouchy Chain-Handle Bag, now £65 here (was £79), is a great alternative.
This black patent faux leather bag with a silver chain handle maintains the same slouchy, unstructured design but in a slightly smaller size, making it perfect for both day and night outfits.
While we all love a bit of luxury, the high street never fails to deliver affordable alternatives when our budgets can’t quite stretch to designer pieces.
