This month we saw a closer introduction of the technical specifications of the virtual reality helmet from Sony, PSVR2. Among the information about this device, it was said that not only special controls, but also the helmet itself should probably have a haptic response (=sophisticated tactile vibrations). If you have also paused and want to experience the experience of having a haptic response directly on your own head, you can try it with the Kraken V3 gaming headset from Razer, which is equipped with this feature. In addition, however, it also offers other features associated with this popular brand.

Quality construction
Few people will be surprised that the headset has a durable design with great emphasis on durability but also the comfort of the materials used. The headphone frame has lightweight steel, so you won’t just break it. The large padding on the underside also ensures that this frame does not press against your head. The combination of fabric, memory foam and leatherette earrings further enhances comfort. The result is a sturdy headset that doesn’t push your head or ears in any way. Thanks to the material used, you don’t even have to worry about sweating, and I can testify that this is one of the most comfortable headphones I’ve had on my head lately
The technology of the speakers themselves Titanium that gives you rich treble, clear sound and powerful bass. The drivers are enhanced with titanium-coated diaphragms for excellent clarity, allowing for truly realistic and accurate sound reproduction. I was really pleasantly surprised by the clarity of the sound and the strong bass delivery. The detachable microphone that suppresses sounds from the side or back is also high quality, while capturing your voice without the noise or reverberations of the headphones themselves. In short, reliable quality from Razer. Some users compare the headphones to high-end music headphones, which may not be entirely appropriate, however, combined with THX 7.1 surround sound, it is really a high-quality headset in this price range.
Haptic response directly to the ears
The most distinctive function of the headset is undoubtedly the haptic response through vibrations, applied separately in both headphones. I have to admit that it took me a while to get used to this function and I had to try several vibration intensity settings and different genres of games or music before I found my favorite settings and uses. But there is no doubt that haptics, when properly combined, enhance the listening and playing experience. At lower settings, for example, for music, it can work almost like a very gentle head massage, where light tingling will make you feel very similar to those when listening to ASMR.
On the contrary, when playing an intense shooter, it is worth trying to set the haptic to a stronger intensity (the strongest is too much according to my tests and can also distort the sound, but for example a medium intensity setting should suffice), when you literally feel the pressure / kick of each shot or even a slight jolt caused by flying and whistling an enemy bullet around you. You really need to get used to these feelings, but once that happens, playing without a haptic will suddenly be boring for you. You can adjust the volume of the headphones and microphone, as well as the intensity of the haptic, using the buttons directly on the headset. Of course, there is also a free accompanying application, where you can, in addition to these settings, also tune the color backlight of the headphones.
You can order the headset at of the manufacturer’s website , but you can also easily find it in Czech stores.
