IHG announces new signings in France and Egypt

France

IHG will open a new flagship InterContinental property in a 107-key château, signed under a management agreement with Groupe BMF and Groupe PFH. It is IHG’s third luxury opening in the country in the past five years.

InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal (opening 2024)

The property was built in the early 20^th century and will undergo renovation works before reopening as an InterContinental hotel. It will house two restaurants, a bar, a summer terrace, 11 meeting rooms, a gym, a sauna, a jacuzzi, as well as treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, and a tennis court.

The hotel will be located 40 km from Paris and 20 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently has 64 hotels operating under 9 brands in France, with a further 19 in the pipeline.

Egypt

IHG has continued their partnership with Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investment, which will see it add 390 keys to its InterContinental and voco brands in the country.

The strengthening of the partnership between IHG and Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investment will see the construction of two new Egyptian hotels, InterContinental West Cairo 205 and voco West Cairo 205 Suites.

The establishments will be located in Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investments’ new mixed-use development, 205 an Arkan Palm Development, in West Cairo. The one million m² site will feature offices, residence units, retail outlets, business parks, hospitals and clinics, and an international school.

The premium property will feature 140 guestrooms, a restaurant, a grab-and-go eatery, and a health club.

InterContinental West Cairo 205 (opening June 2028)

The 250-room luxury hotel will boast four dining outlets: an all-day dining, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a destination bar. Its MICE offer will consist of meeting and events space totalling 1,110 m², including a ballroom. Additional amenities will include a club lounge, a spa, a health club, and a swimming pool.

IHG currently has 7 hotels operating across 4 brands in Egypt, with a further 13 hotels in its pipeline.
