After mere days in the Australian jungle this week, tensions were already running high amongst the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star as Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough was caught after smuggling teabags into camp. The reality show’s forbidden items include makekup, other beauty products, food and luxury items.
Appearing to have forgotten there are cameras around the camp, and that all the celebrities are wearing mics, Dean dropped some tea bags in a pan on Thursday’s show, and then tried to secretly offer cups of “hot water” to his campmates, including Coleen Rooney and Alan Halsall. Hosts Ant and Dec hinted to viewers that such rule breaks would not be tolerated – yet, that wasn’t all, as Melvin Odoom had also smuggled in food seasoning, which he shared with Tulisa. In response to Dean’s rule breaking, the camp was only awarded half of the cupcakes it had won.
Yet while the string of flagrant rule breaking appeared to shock several campmates, this year’s contestants aren’t the first to sneak items into camp, nor will they be the last. Here, we take a closer look at some of the most iconic smugglers in the show’s history…
