Expressing that families should provide sexual education to their children in order to prevent abuse, Demir said:
“Basically, it is very important to inform the child. While doing this, using a language appropriate for the age and development of the child, to say that the child has special parts of his body, that no one can touch his body without his consent, and not to abuse the child too much while conveying this.
“The child should know that his body is a special concept and he should be more careful in games over the body.”

“Child who have been abused generally feel guilty about this incident and experience great fear. They think that society will blame them. These traumatized children first lose their sense of trust. In the first place, it is necessary to create a safe space for the child.

“Education should start with families first. In our society, the concept of family is not introduced. is tight. I think that these cases will decrease as families become more conscious.
“The locals and administrations have great responsibilities here. Just as there is a Family Health Center in every neighborhood, there is also a social service specialist in every neighborhood. That person should take care of all the people in the neighborhood, make detailed researches, and inform the families. Even if it is, it is not sufficient. It is necessary to strengthen the laws and increase the application channels. Awareness raising activities should be carried out for those working in the police and hospitals. What we need to do is to provide these opportunities.”
Speaking about the increase in abuse cases, Yalçın stated that such incidents take place in many societies, but the most cases are in closed societies, “Actually, the cases did not increase. “Children were most exposed to abuse during the pandemic period. Children were imprisoned and trapped in homes without a plan and program. They could not find their teachers, friends, or judicial authorities to make their voices heard. With the opening of the data began to reach our hands.
