It’s a big week for Daniel Craig, as his highly-anticipated movie No Time To Die is set to be released in cinemas on 30 September.

The film has faced huge delays as a result of Covid, but Bond fans are now buying tickets and popcorn in preparation for the release.

Daniel Craig isn’t the only famous face in his marriage, with his wife being British actress and model Rachel Weisz.

Rachel has starred in The Mummy, Marvel’s Black Widow, The Deep Blue Sea, The Favourite, The Constant Gardener and many other films.

The pair have been together for 11 years and fired up their romance in 2010 while working on the film Dream House together.

Before Rachel, Daniel Craig was in a long-term relationship with another actress.

Here’s what you need to know…

Who did Daniel Craig date before Rachel Weisz?

Before Rachel, Daniel was in a relationship with Love Actually star Heike Makatsch.

The German actress was famed for her role as Mia in the hit film, who attempted to win the affection or married boss Harry, played by Alan Rickman.

The pair were together for seven years altogether, but they were often kept apart due to work.

Daniel once said: “Film sets have caused a lot of break-ups; marriages go down the tubes. It’s bloody lonely.”

Daniel was linked to Kate Moss and Sienna Miller too, but he denied rumours he was dating them.

The James Bond star was actually pals with Rachel before things turned romantic, with the couple meeting at university.

Fate reunited them as they performed in a 1994 play at the National Theatre Studio together, and then it was on a movie set that things become romantic.

No Time To Die will be the last Bond film Daniel stars in, and he’s insisted the role shouldn’t be played by a woman next.

The 53 year old was asked if he would support “a more diverse appointment as his replacement”.

Contemplating the possibility of his character being a woman or a person of colour, Craig’s answer was firm.

“The answer to that is very simple,” he told Radio Times.

“There should simply be better parts for women and actors of colour.”

“Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, for a woman?” the star added.

His comment comes after executive producer Barbara Broccoli told fans back in 2018 that James Bond would never be reimagined as a woman.

“Bond is male. He’s a male character,” she said at the time. “He was written as a male and I think he’ll probably stay as a male.
