Inside Dr Alex George’s solo trip to Dubai after sudden split from girlfriend Ellie

Dr Alex George has reportedly called it quits on his relationship with girlfriend Ellie Hecht after dating for a year.

The Love Island star and A&E doctor, 31, appeared to have finally found love in the barrister and had posted a number of adorable glimpses into their life as a couple over the last 12 months including homing a puppy named Freddie, which she has kept.

But friends of the star have since revealed that despite trying “everything” to make the relationship work, they found it impossible.

Alex has now jetted off to Dubai on a solo trip, which he’s shared a look into on social media.

Holding up a beer and flashing a smile, Alex penned: “Clashing like HELL but rather pleased to be starting my holibobs,” followed by a beer emoji.

The doctor wore a green jacket and brown shirt for the photo, and looked happy to abroad.

Alex also shared a fun video running from the swimming pool at his resort on to the beach with iconic Dubai landmark, the Burj Al Arab hotel, on show.

“A top tip for a happier life, learn to laugh at yourself. Failing that, at least a chuckle. Good times,” the star penned as the caption to the playful video.

“You did well not to trip in your flip flops!” wrote one fan, while another penned: “Haha love this,” a third added: “Have the best time there , enjoy that sunshine.”

Alex shared a further look inside his trip on his Instagram stories too, including dining out at a restaurant.

Georgia Townend returned to her job at Lidl after her Love Island stint

The 31 year old tucked in to bread and butter, Champagne, steak, chips and a delicious cheeseboard to top it all off.

“Alex and Ellie tried everything to make it work but sometimes it’s just not meant to be,” the couple’s friend told The Sun.

“They have now gone their separate ways after a very emotional phone conversation.”

According to the insider, Dr Alex’s lawyer former girlfriend has already removed her belongings from his flat.

“It’s heartbreaking for everyone and Alex is determined they stay friends,” the source added.

The duo seemed to be at the height of enjoying their new relationship last summer, when they shared a number of images of their trip down to the Cornish coast.

Alex and Ellie stayed in a cute cottage and posed for numerous pictures during their romantic trip, which included visiting local farms and taking walks around the coastline.
