Despite the expansion of mobile photography, there are still moments when it is appropriate to have the captured image available physically. For those who like oldschool, FujiFilm has introduced a new instant camera Instax Mini Evo with a retro design. The combination of a silver body and black imitation leather resembles old analog cameras.
More precisely, it is a hybrid camera, as it also has moving parts. For example, a lever for triggering a rotating ring on the lens to select from 10 color filters, or a dial to select from 10 film effects. So you get a total of up to 100 photo editing combinations. You can see the preview on the small 3 “display.
Instax Mini Evo uses a 1/5 “sensor and a 28mm focal length lens with a f / 2 aperture. The camera’s resolution is 5 Mpx, which is more than enough for small format printing. You can look forward to printing at a resolution of 25 dots per mm × 12.5 dots per mm, printing one photo takes 16 to 23 seconds depending on the set quality, and the print capacity is up to 100 photos.
If you do not want to print the photos, they can also be saved. The internal memory can hold 45 images and you can store hundreds more on a memory card. However, you get even better options by connecting to a smartphone. On the one hand, you can print pictures from your mobile phone from the camera, or save pictures taken by the camera to your phone for easier sharing on social networks. The Fujifilm instant camera will go on sale in the Czech Republic at a price of CZK 5,000 on February 1.
