Isaigniani Ilayaraja’s heartfelt video message on Lata Mangeshkar’s passing away

Lata Mangeshkar the Nightingale of India passed away earlier today at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after being admitted there for the past 28 days. Her body has since been shifted to her residence where celebrities and the public are paying homage to her.

Isaigniani Ilayaraja has posted a video condolence message and also wrote on Twitter “Heartbroken, but blessed to have known her & for having worked with her.. loved this incredible voice & soul… Lataji holds a place in our hearts that is irreplaceable…. That’s how profoundly she has impacted our lives with her voice.”

Lata Mangeshkar has sung most of her Tamil songs for Ilayaraja including “Aararo Aararo”, “Valaiyosai”, “Ingeyum” and “Engiruntho Azhaikkum”.
