Islamist principal is required in the millions by the state

The former principal of the School of Science, Abdel Nasser El Nadi, has spent millions on accounts abroad – and now he is going on a heavy tax slam.

– In total, this is just over SEK 4.5 million, says Ulrika Karlsson, section manager at the Swedish Tax Agency, to the news agency Siren.

In a series of revelations in 2019, GT / Expressen was able to report on misconduct at the School of Science in Gothenburg. Among other things, they had recruited IS returnees to the staff group.

The School of Science later received his approval revoked by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate and the school’s principal, the radical Islamist Abdel Nasser El Nadi, was detained and classified by the government as a threat to national security.

He received an expulsion decision directed at him, and has now left Sweden.

Before he was taken into custody, El Nadi transferred large sums of money abroad. The money came from his education group, which included several independent school activities that are financed with school fees.

This is what GT / Expressen and the Doku foundation told us about in a revelation 2019 .

The transactions have now, after a tax review, been brought to light again.

Complicated transaction chain

The Swedish Tax Agency has decided to tax El Nadi for the income that he, via a number of dormant group companies, transferred abroad.

“The majority of transactions take place in several stages and usually in direct connection with each other. The parent company West Business AB’s bank account is a throughput account and appears to have only been used for the purpose of concealing the final payee “, the Swedish Tax Agency writes in its decision.

– In total, it is just over SEK 4.5 million in additional tax, tax surcharges and interest to pay after this decision, says Ulrika Karlsson, section manager at the Swedish Tax Agency, to the news agency Siren.

Abdel Nasser El Nadi has the opportunity to request a review of the tax decision or appeal to the administrative court.
