With a handful of postseason spots still up for grabs entering play on Sunday — and every team being played at the same time — Game 162 promises to deliver thrills. Here’s a running breakdown of the top moments throughout the Majors as they unfold.

3:10 p.m. — Ohtani leadoff HR (LAA-SEA)
Minutes after games began, Shohei Ohtani gave us one last glimpse of “Sho Time” by lacing his 46th homer of the year, giving the Angels a quick lead against the Mariners in Seattle.

3:15 — Springer dinger (BAL-TOR)
Not to be outdone, George Springer helped Blue Jays fans exhale a bit with a leadoff homer of his own to send Toronto off and running at Rogers Centre.

3:31 — Jays knock out Zimmermann (BAL-TOR)
While Orioles shortstop Richie Martin temporarily saved a run or two with a leaping catch on Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s line drive, Santiago Espinal followed with an RBI single that made it 3-0 and forced Orioles starter Bruce Zimmermann out of the game after just two-thirds of an inning.

3:40 — Grisham robs Longoria (SD-SF)
Longoria made a bid to get the Giants on the board early against Padres rookie Reiss Knehr with a fly ball deep to center field, only to have the potential first run of the game robbed by Trent Grisham.

3:44 — Muncy injured (MIL-LAD)
Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy suffered an injury and exited after Brewers second baseman Jace Peterson ran into Muncy’s left arm on a play at first base in the top of the third inning.

3:46 — Sale escapes (BOS-WSH)
While Jordy Mercer gave the Nats a 1-0 lead with an RBI double, Chris Sale escaped a big inning by striking out opposing pitcher Joan Adon with two on and two out in the second.

3:48 — Angels add on (LAA-SEA)
Jared Walsh capped the Angels’ second straight two-run inning with a sacrifice fly that put the Mariners behind 4-0 and forced starter Tyler Anderson out of the game.

3:51 — Posey comes up big (SD-SF)
The Giants had the bases loaded with two outs in the third when Buster Posey lined a single to center, scoring a pair.

3:52 — Guerrero Jr. adds on (BAL-TOR)
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. set a new record for home runs by a player age 22 or younger and made it 5-0 Blue Jays.

3:58 — Kelenic gets M’s on board (LAA-SEA)
Jarred Kelenic ripped an RBI single to right field, getting the Mariners on the board at 4-1.

4:02 — Dodgers fall behind (MIL-LAD)
The Brewers’ Rowdy Tellez and Avisail Garcia crushed back-to-back doubles off Walker Buehler, putting the Brewers ahead, 1-0, in the top of the fourth.

4:02 — Gleyber saves two runs (TB-NYY)
With runners on second and third and two outs in the top of the fourth, Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres made a great sliding stop on the outfield grass on Joey Wendle’s sharp ground ball to get the final out of the inning and keep the game scoreless.

4:07 — Crawford brings Mariners within two (LAA-SEA)
J.P. Crawford laced a single up the middle to bring in a second run for Seattle, chasing Angels starter Reid Detmers.

4:11 — Sale forces in a run, exits (BOS-WSH)
Chris Sale, struggling with his control, walked Ryan Zimmerman on four pitches with the bases loaded, forcing in a run and making it 2-0 Nationals. Manager Alex Cora went to the Boston bullpen, which paid off when Hirokazu Sawamura induced an inning-ending double play from Jordy Mercer.

4:17 — Springer breaks it open (BAL-TOR)
George Springer hit his second home run of the game, a third-inning grand slam, to make it 9-1 Blue Jays.

4:18 — Devers goes deep (BOS-WSH)
After Boston fell behind early, 2-0, Rafael Devers hit his 37th home run to get the Red Sox on the board.

4:31 — Giants get separation (SD-SF)
San Francisco was able to breathe a bit easier thanks to a five-run fourth inning in which four players drove in runs, including Buster Posey’s RBI single to make it 7-1.

4:34 — Espinal helps Ryu escape (BAL-TOR)
The Blue Jays held a comfortable 9-1 lead in the top of the fourth, but every out counts on a day like Sunday — and third baseman Santiago Espinal went all out to help his pitcher, Hyun Jin Ryu, end the inning. With two men on and two out, Espinal picked Tyler Nevin’s hot-shot grounder and raced to third base, diving to touch the bag just in time for the forceout.

4:39 — Urshela sacrifices his body (TB-NYY)
With two outs in the top of the sixth inning, the Rays’ Austin Meadows hit a foul popup to the left side. Shortstop Gio Urshela gave chase and made the catch as he flew into the third-base dugout and made a crash landing. Urshela somehow held on to the ball for the final out of the inning, but remained down for a few minutes before shakily walking off under his own power. Somehow, he would remain in the game.

4:44 — Walsh adds on (LAA-SEA)
After the Mariners scored a pair to cut the Angels’ lead in half, Jared Walsh’s 29th home run of the year got two runs back for Los Angeles.

4:46 — Adon escape jam (BOS-WSH)
With runners on second and third with one out in the fifth, Nats starter Joan Adon escaped the jam by inducing two groundouts from Kyle Schwarber and Xander Bogaerts to keep the score at 2-1 in Washington’s favor.

4:47 — Dodgers get on the board, Turner blows it open (MIL-LAD)
Held in check through the first half of the game by four Brewers pitchers, the Dodgers offense woke up in the bottom of the fifth. Mookie Betts drew a bases-loaded walk against Aaron Ashby to tie it at 1, then Corey Seager hustled his way to an infield single to bring home the go-ahead run. That was only a preamble for Trea Turner, who belted the Dodgers’ 11th grand slam of the season (a franchise single-season record) to break the game open for L.A.

4:50 — Webb helps own cause (SD-SF)
Already up by six runs, Giants starter Logan Webb made it 9-1 with a home run, the first of his career, in what could be the last at-bat taken by a Giants pitcher under the current National League rules.

5:04 — Avila stings the Sox (BOS-WSH)
Veteran catcher Alex Avila, playing his final game before retirement, ripped a two-run double to right field off Boston’s Garrett Richards to extend the Nationals’ lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.

5:12 — Loáisiga gets Yanks out of jam
Jonathan Loáisiga came out of the bullpen and got Brandon Lowe to foul out to third base with two men on and two out in the top of the seventh inning, which kept the game scoreless.

5:20 — McHugh shuts down Yanks’ big bats
The heart of the Yankees order had been white-hot down the stretch, but Collin McHugh kept the game scoreless by retiring New York’s biggest bats in order. Aaron Judge grounded out to second, Giancarlo Stanton popped up to first and Joey Gallo struck out for a quiet bottom of the seventh.

5:24 — Red Sox get one back
Christian Vázquez sent a ground ball up the middle and Nats second baseman Jordy Mercer couldn’t get it to second in time for the out, which allowed José Iglesias to score to make it 5-2.

5:28 — Nats escape
Washington reliever Patrick Murphy fanned Travis Shaw — who represented the tying run with two aboard — to get out of the sixth with a three-run lead intact.

5:33 — Loáisiga works magic again
How many jams has Yankees reliever Jonathan Loáisiga worked out of this year? The fire-balling righty did it again in the top of the eighth, as he worked around some daring baserunning by Randy Arozarena (steal of second, risky tag up to advance to third on a fly ball to left) by striking out Nelson Cruz and a inducing harmless fly ball off Austin Meadows’ bat. The game remained scoreless heading to the bottom of the eighth.

5:52 — Red Sox tie it
Down 5-2 in the seventh, the Red Sox mounted a rally, capped off by Alex Verdugo’s two-run, game-tying double.

6:02 — Giants win the NL West
One of the most entertaining division races in recent memory ended in San Francisco. The Giants sealed an 11-4 win over the Padres, their franchise-record 107th victory of the season, to clinch their first NL West title since 2012. The Dodgers, who were cruising toward their 106th victory when San Francisco recorded its final out, will now be the winningest Wild Card team in history.

6:06 — Mariners’ rally stymied
Seattle had a chance for a big sixth inning, loading the bases with one out, but pushed across just one run, leaving the club down 7-3.

6:07 — Zimmerman bids farewell
With the Nationals and Red Sox tied in the top of the eighth, Washington replaced “Mr. National,” Ryan Zimmerman, who received a standing ovation from everyone in the ballpark (including the Red Sox) as he waved a tearful goodbye in what could be his final Major League game. Zimmerman, the Nationals’ first-ever Draft pick after the team moved from Montreal, is Washington’s all-time leader in games played, home runs, hits, runs scored, doubles and RBIs.

6:11 — Yanks walk off, punch postseason ticket
It wasn’t pretty, but the Yankees clinched their spot in the AL Wild Card Game with a rally in the bottom of the ninth. Rougned Odor led off with a single and pinch-runner Tyler Wade advanced to second on Gleyber Torres’ fly to center. Anthony Rizzo singled to move Wade over to third before Aaron Judge brought him in with an infield single, as Wade just beat Brandon Lowe’s throw to home plate.

The last AL Wild Card spot was left hinging primarily on the result in Washington, as the Nats and Red Sox were still tied in the eighth when the Yankees walked it off.
