Daniel Craig will become the fourth performer of Agent 007 to have his star on the iconic Walk of Fame in Hollywod, Variety announces. The actor will be honored on October 6, two days before the release of the long-awaited “No Time To Die” in the United States (here, this new part of the James Bond saga was released on September 30 ).
The star of Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond for the fifth – and last – time in the cinema, will be placed next to that of another agent 007, Roger Moore (seven-time performer of Bond). “ Daniel Craig is a British cultural icon, as is James Bond, the man he played in five 007 films. We are delighted to place his star on the Walk of Fame , ”Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.
Who will be the next James Bond?
The British actor will however give up his role of the most popular secret agent, and the mystery surrounding his succession remains whole. For several months now, the bets have been going well on the one (or the one, no possibility is excluded) who will take the role of agent 007.
One of the most quoted names is that of Tom Hardy, who has largely proven himself, for example in “Mad Max: Fury Road” or in Christopher Nolan taking on the role of villain against BGBatman (“The Dark Knight Rises”).
But his age (44) could play against him: if it takes a little bottle to embody a hero like James Bond, the next one will probably be chosen to be able to last until the horizon 2030-2035.
Other names are regularly put forward, including those mentioned by bookmakers: Rege-Jean Page, the hero of “The Chronicle of the Bridgertons”, James Norton, adored on the British small screen, or even Luke Evans, seen in big productions like “Fast and Furious”… Have also been put forward the names of Henry Cavill or Idris Elba.
Toys will be missing for the holidays
The market is tense with the approach of Saint-Nicolas and Christmas. The shortage of raw materials is delaying deliveries. We also fear a price increase.
- The White March: the stir of a whole people
October 20 1996, 350,000 people marched in Brussels following the Dutroux affair. RTBF and VRT are offering a documentary series, 25 years later, on this moment of crisis in Belgian society.
