Johnny Sexton believes England have a real chance of upsetting France in Paris

Speaking after the victory to RTE Sport the Leinster out-half says he very much thinks Eddie Jones’ side can cause France huge problems in Paris next weekend.

He said: “I think England have a great chance of winning next week, like they always do, because England are England, they’re one of the most dominant teams in world rugby.

“They were in the World Cup final only a couple of years ago, they’re building a new team and they’ve had some big performances themselves over the last six, seven months, beating South Africa and Australia in November.

The 36-year-old wasn’t satisfied with Ireland’s performance but they did enough to muster up a bonus point in London to keep their hopes of a Six Nations Championship alive even if it out of their hands.

Sexton added: “England are a very good team and we gave them huge respect.

“We probably didn’t get the performance that we wanted throughout the game but I think we showed glimpses of it.

“And I think England could go and do some real damage to France next week.”

Les Bleus are one win away from the Grand Slam, but Ireland can still pip them to the title if the current leaders slip up at the Stade de France against the English.

Super Saturday get underway with Wales hosting Italy, but the title will be decided in Dublin and Paris.

Ireland currently trail France by two points, so they know that they will almost certainly need to beat Scotland if they have any chance of claiming the title.

If they do, then France will have to beat England in the final game, not just for the Grand Slam but also to take the Championship.
