Prekvapujúce zistenie o hladine vírusu
Štúdia ukázala, že vrchol vírusovej záťaže sa u nich vyskytoval medzi troma až šiestimi dňami po nástupe symptómov.
Štúdia vyvoláva ďalšie obavy z toho, že napríklad USA skracuje čas samoizolácie pre ľudí na päť dní. Česko ju skrátilo dokonca na štyri dni pre tých, ktorí nemajú príznaky covidu.
Vedci odobrali 83 respiračných vzoriek od 21 ľudí a zmerali množstvo prítomného vírusu pomocou techniky nazývanej real-time PCR, pričom zistili, že hladiny boli najvyššie medzi troma až šiestimi dňami od diagnózy a po nástupe symptómov.
Je prekvapujúce, že hladiny zostali vysoké takmer u všetkých pacientov medzi siedmimi až deviatimi dňami, pričom niektorí pacienti mali významné hladiny vírusového genetického materiálu detekovateľné aj dva týždne po ich pôvodnej diagnóze.
