Kendall Jenner Livens Up This Preppy Styling Trick

It may not be snowing in L.A. right now, but that didn’t stop Kendall Jenner from bundling up this weekend. The model was spotted wearing a bright yellow turtleneck with an equally-bright orange sweater slung over her shoulders, tied around the neck just so. It’s a modern twist on the classic preppy styling trick, normally seen on the golf course or in country clubs.

Turns out, Jenner is onto something. The sweater-turned-scarf is a classic, stealthy-chic move. In the Row’s fall 2022 collection, for instance, a brown sweater was tied over a classic trench coat—that just oozes luxury. Jenner leaned into the elevated styling with classic blue jeans and sharp leather ankle boots. The bright colors of her knits also made it seem fresh, youthful, and sophisticated all at once. Doubling up on colorful sweaters is the perfect antithesis to the winter blues, and also makes the prim outfit less stuffy. In her right hand, she even carried an orange Pellegrino that perfectly matched her knits. She gets bonus points for the coordination.
